RESTORATION FOR LAND STEWARDSHIP

enhance YOUR PROPERTY VALUE

We provide numerous design, construction, maintenance and property planning services to help maximize wildlife and aquatic habitat. We can help:

  • Increase wildlife diversity
  • Improve fish/wildlife habitat
  • Improve recreational use
  • Livestock exclusion fencing

In addition to receiving the benefits of the conservation improvements, in many cases Ecotone is able to offer conservation easement payments on restored acreage in the range of $5,000 to $10,000 per acre, while the landowner retains full ownership and recreational use of the restored acreage. Landowners who partner with Ecotone under this  programs are never charged for our services. Additionally, we can also locate funding source for those landowners who do not wish to record an easement, or who may already be enrolled in other land preservation programs.

Landowner Asset Management Program

Through our Landowner Asset Management Program, we partner with private landowners to restore sensitive areas and improve conservation value on their land using funding from sources such as environmental credit markets and natural resource conservation programs. Often these projects can be completed on otherwise unusable or fallow ground, wet areas that cannot be easily farmed or developed, portions of a property that cannot otherwise be accessed or utilized, stream valleys, floodplains, or any other areas that the landowner simply no longer wants to mow or maintain.

Depending on the characteristics of each property, an Ecotone restoration project may include:
  • Wetland habitat and waterfowl shallow water features
  • Woodland establishment and upland habitat restoration
  • Stream restoration, stream-bank stabilization, and trout habitat improvement
