Ecotone, Inc. was formed in 1998 and is based in Jarrettsville, Maryland. Since that time the founders of the company, Jim Morris and Scott McGill, have developed a company that not only provides quality consulting and design services, but also provides construction services as well to provide high quality environmental restoration projects at reasonable costs to its Clients. Ecotone is one of the few companies in the Mid-Atlantic region which has established multiple forest and wetland restoration sites which provide environmental mitigation credits to the regulated public.
In 2005, Ecotone joined forces with Woods, Water & Wildlife, Inc. to form Albemarle Restorations, LLC. The joint venture was formed to undertaking large scale wetland restoration and stream restoration opportunities in eastern North Carolina. To date contracts have been awarded from North Carolina's Ecosystem Enhancement Program to Albemarle Restorations, LLC for over 150 acres of wetland mitigation and two miles of stream restoration in Hyde, Martin, Beaufort, and Bertie Counties. Albemarle Restorations, LLC, in less than 18 months since its formation, has become one of the leading providers of environmental restoration in Eastern North Carolina. We are currently working with PCS Phosphate on the restoration of several environmentally significant properties in Beaufort County, NC. Ecotone prides itself on providing the highest quality designs and products using state of the art ecological restoration techniques. All computer aided design work is performed in-house by our cross trained scientists and ecologists. We continually monitor our work-load to assure all current projects are performed on-time, on-budget, and with the highest regard for quality and customer service.
